It’s Been a Minute…

In all honesty, whether you choose to read this or not, I don’t mind. As always, when it comes to the memos that live in my phone, the drafts saved on my social and the posts written on the blog, it’s a toss up if they even get published.

You’ve probably been here before, when I chose to start one passion project or another. You’ve probably been here before, to see what this whole blog thing was all about.

If that’s true you were probably there, when I decided to start Pretty Simply Boutique. And you’ve probably been there, when I thought it would be a fun idea to post consistently on the gram in an effort to figure out my “online identity” (all while making a fool of myself). It’s okay, we can laugh about it now.

I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for sticking around through the pivots, the wins, and the flops. I know to some, all of these things may not seem like a big deal, but they are for me. They’re a big deal because I put myself out on the skinny branch for all to see, as I grow and evolve in business and in life.

What on earth would I do that for? Because I like to write, create, and design. And truthfully, for a long time, there wasn’t a lot of the raw stuff for others to see. Don’t get me wrong, social media has come a long way as people make an effort to show “real life” but sometimes the realest things are the ones we can’t see at all. Not the stuff or the things, but the feelings, the thoughts, and the insecurities. It’s the progress over the perfection, the journey over the destination that matters to me.

Thank you for being here on the journey. I plan to show up here a bit more in the next while. My goal is to connect this blog to Pretty Simply Boutique. (You’ll begin to understand more as I unravel some new branding and updates soon). And honestly, I do have a big, scary goal of writing a book someday, but let’s just start small and see where this goes.
